At SlimIoT Technologies, we believe that how we work is just as important as what we build. As a health-tech startup crafting next-generation wearable devices, our work requires both focused deep thinking and collaborative iteration. To support this, we follow a high-impact hybrid workplace model that offers flexibility without compromising innovation or team cohesion.
Our workplace policy is designed around three pillars: autonomy, accountability, and alignment.
Team members can work from anywhere in the country, with the flexibility to choose their work environment based on personal productivity rhythms and project needs. We support remote work by default, especially for roles that are research-heavy, content-based, or digital-first (such as design, content, UI/UX, and strategy).
To ensure consistency across time zones and roles, we operate with core collaboration hours from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm IST. These are the hours where everyone is expected to be available for meetings, huddles, and synchronous work. Outside of this window, team members are free to structure their day as they see fit.
As a hardware-plus-software startup, certain phases of our product development, such as prototyping, physical testing, integration trials, or manufacturing coordination, require hands-on work. For these, we schedule in-person work sessions at our base in STMicroelectronics India, or on-site visits to partner labs and production units.
These sessions are planned with ample notice, with travel or coordination support as needed. The goal is to keep the in-person time purposeful, high-energy, and creatively productive.
We don’t believe in clocking hours or rigid reporting. Instead, we track and celebrate impact. Each team or project pod works with clear objectives, sprint goals, and deliverables. Progress is documented via project management tools like Notion, and communication happens via Slack and regular check-ins.
We measure performance by how effectively goals are met, how well feedback loops are integrated, and how thoughtfully each contributor grows in their role — not by how many hours they sit at a desk.
SlimIoT’s workplace culture is rooted in trust, empathy, and growth. We actively encourage:
Creative flow and asynchronous work
Wellbeing practices
Up-skilling, every team member is encouraged to learn, aligned to their role
Inclusivity in voice and flexibility
New hires are onboarded not just into projects, but into the values and rituals of a mindful, future-facing team.
At SlimIoT, we are not just building smart wearables, we are crafting a smart workplace where people can thrive, ideas can grow, and technology is made with care.
